In April, I joined a unique networking community called the Unicorn Universe. This community includes entrepreneurs and business owners focused on collaboration and with a heart to serve. Unicorns are special, and this isn’t a group for everyone. How do you know if you’re a Unicorn? Here is the Unicorn DNA:

Within the Unicorn Universe, a smaller group of elite Unicorns is unsatisfied with standard or even 2X results. We want more, like 10X more. The 10X Rule by Grant Cardone is a high-performance blueprint that challenges you to set goals 10 times bigger than you think is possible, and then take 10 times more action to achieve them. It destroys average thinking and replaces it with massive ambition, relentless execution, and complete personal responsibility. The core message: success isn’t optional — it’s your duty.

This past weekend, I completed a transformative 3-day immersion in the 10X Unicorn Conversion Catalyst Workshop created by the founder and Chief Executive Unicorn, Daniel Knight. While I have many takeaways from the workshop, I will use goal-planning to illustrate an example of 10X thinking.

D.R.E.A.M. Goals > S.M.A.R.T. Goals

You may be familiar with the S.M.A.R.T. goals framework: set goals that are specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, and time-bound. This framework is practical and designed for efficiency and accountability, but it can feel safe, small, and uninspiring.

D.R.E.A.M. goals are the 10X version of S.M.A.R.T. goals. This chart describes how to define D.R.E.A.M. goals.

When you start thinking big, you might hesitate and wonder if you are big enough for your dream. Turn that around and ask, “Is this dream worthy of me?” Here are five questions to ask to determine if a dream is worthy of you (as shared by Sherry Gideons, founder of Thought University):

  1. Does it give me life?

  2. Does it align with my core values?

  3. Will it require me to grow?

  4. Do I need help from a higher power?

  5. Is there some good in this dream for others?

I want to share one of my D.R.E.A.M. goals with you because it relates to Be Wellthy. I’ve been writing this newsletter weekly since October of 2020 without a miss. The Be Wellthy vision and lifestyle, Club Members, and you, dear subscribers, are important to me. My previous goal was to reach 1,000 subscribers (currently at 593). Here is my D.R.E.A.M. goal:

🚀 Achieve 10,000 or more Be Wellthy subscribers while maintaining an open rate of at least 30% by July 1, 2026.

I identified my top three priority action items with deadlines. I have a system for tracking progress and established accountability partners. I’m also considering the advice in the book Who Not How by Dan Sullivan and Dr. Benjamin Hardy. Who can help me achieve this goal, and how can I add value for them?
